First edition. Cecil Lewis, a scout pilot in the Royal Flying Corps, reminisces about his time flying 24 different early aircraft between 1914-1918 and during World War One. The aircraft he flew and loved includes the Sopwith Spad, the Nieuport Scout and the Vickers Vimy. The illustrations are by Leonard Bridgman, who was also a pilot during World War One.

ROYAL AIR FORCE (RAF) who flew in World War I. He co-founded the British Broadcasting Company and enjoyed a long career as a writer. Signed and dated (in the year of publication) by the author.
