Description:
Targ Editions, 1985. First Edition Limited to 250 copies hand bound at the Grenfel Press. SIGNED by the author. Tall 4to. 21 pp. Printed on all-rag Fabriano paper by Four Hands Design Studio. Hald line spine over green paper coverd boards; in publisher's glassine dustjacket. A fine copy. "There are many pockets of comfort and healing on this planet, and I have touched a few of them, but only once have I been able to stay as long and learn and be told as much as there on the southeast edge of Hemet Valley." Fisher and her husband, Dillwyn Parrish, purchased ninety acres of land south of Hemet and named it "Bareacres" after the character Lord Bareacres in Vanity Fair by Thackeray. In "Spirits of the Valley", Ms. Fisher shares, in her inimitable manner, a brief history of how she and Dillwyn purchased Bareacres and of their life their in the valley. Number twenty-five of the Targ Editions printed in Greenwich Village.
