A full page note is written from the author to Lambert on the front free paper discussing the origins of the photos in the book. Laid in the book is a 9-page, type-written article by the author about axes and how a "Gypsy" woman taught him the secret to using an axe. The author, having spent much time among "Gypsies", discusses their way of life, crafts, traditions, caravans, cooking, dress and more. Richly illustrated with black and white photographs. Tight binding. No chips, tears, creases. Minimal edgewear to dust jacket. Jacket is NOT clipped. Clean and bright interior. Size: Sm 4to (11" to 13").
