De Wolfe, Fisk & Co. hardcover, paginated in sections, no date on copyright page, only date found is 1849 is introduction, faux leather boards with ribbed spine & bevelled edges, lettering & decor rubbed from spine but otherwise very nice, name-stamp on endpaper, 1-inch crack to binding at top of front pastedown but sewn binding is still sound, a handful of pages in rear chapter "Fernando the Saint' are lightly tanned- otherwise surprisingly white text that reads great-no markings found.
