This is a book about the EARLY days of railroads, so illustrations of some of the early trains is in the form of drawings. The author did a great job of illustrating this book, particularly the 16 color plates in the middle of the book which really could be framed. Others are in B&W or, in the case of later machines, photographs. 158pp.. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket.
