The Stackpole Company, 1954. Hardcover. Very Good/Good Dust Jacket. This old book with dust jacket is clean, solid and in great shape! This is a hardcover book with 231 pages including some illustrations. The binding is strong with all pages firmly attached. The pages are clean with no soiling, writing, or tears. The copyright page shows 1954 as the only date. The dust jacket is about 98% intact with some light chipping on the edges and a one inch chip on the bottom of the front. I have placed the DJ in a fresh mylar jacket. We always ship in a sturdy cardboard box!

Gilt lettering and decoration. All edges gilt. This is an unnumbered copy of an edition of 2300. The only flaw noted is that the front endpaper has a very narrow worn strip down the lower 2.75 inches of the foredge.

Bright gilt lettering on spine. Book a damp stain on the top edge near gutter, does not touch the text block. Endpaper are a bit darkened with some foxing. A little staining on edges. Binding tight.

Burgundy cloth with a mounted gold oval raised illustration of a running bird dog on the front cover, the following flaws are present: short tape-marks on the edges of the end-papers, the spine and top portion of the front cover are slightly faded, and overall tanning to the top outer page-edge, the binding is tight and clean and the contents are fine, the original acetate jacket has some edge-loss, six small pieces of tape on the edges, and heavy scuffing, we include the jacket for obvious reasons but the book looks much nicer without it; 197 pages; Signed by Author .
