First volume is an elephant folio containing 91 facsimile plates by Maria Sibylla Merian. Book quarter bound in green goatskin leather with a gilt-printed black leather label and cloth sides foil-blocked with a design by David Eccles. Volume 2 is a Commentary by Julie Harvey that is 87 pages, bound in green cloth and fits nicely into a compartment in the slipcase. 1000 numbered copies for sale, this is copy #345/1000. Books in Near Fine condition with a slight bit of wear from being handled and read. Slipcase bound in green cloth with a black leather label and is in Very Good condition with some white marks on the back from shelf rubbing. A beautifully produced book. Photos upon request.
