Dark orange cloth boards show scuffing and spotting along with edge and corner wear/toning. The internal binding is overall good with the exception of some pulling and a crack starting at the front hinge, of which the top half has a thin crack which should be easy to glue back in place as it is more on the front pastedown and the hinge itself. The front end page contains the original owner's name along with a 1917 date. This is the only handwriting found in the book. There are no bookplates or library markings, no torn or loose pages. The rear end page has a very slight ripple along the top edge. It does not show up in the photos but if you run your finger along the top edge feel some bumps.

The book is in very solid condition ... the pages are yellowing a little more than they appear in the pictures, but do not appear to be damaged. For its age of 114 years, it appears to be in very favorable condition. The photos show a little wrinkling of the cover on the top and bottom of the end of the book.
