Hurtig: Edmonton, 1978. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. FIRST PRINTING of First Edition. SIGNED and dated by the author on the short-title page. The book is in nice condition with minor faint soiling covers, no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, tight binding, no foxing. The dust jacket has a little rubbing at spine ends and corners, no tears, no loss, 9cm crease mark front cover that shows as a thin white line, original price still present on flap corner. The book measures 31cm tall x 23cm, and has 144 pages, glossary, bibliography, and over 100 color photos of mostly mountains with accompanying text of climbing history. Excellent descriptive overview of Canada's mountains. Covers mostly the big peaks of the Canadian Rockies but also includes some on the Coast Range, Purcells, Bugaboos, Selkirks, Tombstone Range in NWT, St Elias Mountains including Mt Logan, the highest peak in Canada. PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
