A very good copy in the original cardstock wraps with dust jacket. Front inner hinge partly exposed, but holding. Dust jacket age-toned, and with a dampstain along the spine, not affecting the interior. A cheaply produced volume, and as such rather well-preserved. SIGNED by Neruda with a full-page inscription on the front free endpaper: "1965 A Westphallen un viejo libro con la amistad de toujours. Pablo Neruda." [our translation: "1965 To Westphallen - an old book, with everlasting friendship." Likely presented to someone with that surname, possibly Peruvian artist Judith Westphalen (different spelling is noted). (Or, the poet could be referring to the German region, where he inscribed it.)
