Top textblock edge dyed green. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Gilt lettering is darkened. Moderate sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Visible wear and bleaching marks to boards. Unclipped jacket. Panels and spine have light edgewear with tears and creases. Minor loss to spine and edges. Moderate tanning and wear marks to flaps, panels and spine.

Hardcover edition with no dust jacket. The book has turquoise board covers with small gilt illustration of a frog on front cover and gilt lettering on spine. There is some minor creasing to pages at front but overall this is in good condition given age. Book for children published by Hollis and Carter 1947. Colour title page and red and white illustrations throughout. Appears to be rare.

Contents clean. Dustwrapper is edge chipped with some loss, a bit grubby and marked to rear panel.
