London: Simpkin, Marshall, Hamilton, Kent No date but assume first edition 1890, red cloth (stained and rubbed) with gilt lettering, spine is faded and soiled with dulled gilt, pushing/wear to spine ends and corners, dust to edges, tear to verso of title page at the inner edge, 4 colour litho plates and other illustrations, with tissue guards, internally generally very good (top corner of two pages torn where they were once joined).. Hard Back. Good.

Spine lighly soiled with old paper library reference number and small tear to top edge. Original dark grey endpapers. Presentation label to verso of the front board: "Presented by Lieut. Colonel Robinson and Officers of the 1/ Shropshire & Suff. Regiment, to The Captain , Officers, and Yeoman of H. M. Royal Body Guard of the Yeoman of the Guard. Dated July 15th 1896." Clean text throughut, well illustrated with 9 full-page plates (4 coloured). VG
