n.p.: Self published, n.d.. First Edition. Wraps. Good. Bound oblong wraps. Approx. 5.75" x 4.5". 164 pages. Light blue velvet covered paper with very faint blue printed title on the front cover. Covers faded. A few spots and light edge wear to the paper covers. Signed by Archibald Rutledge on the title page. No printer or printing location provided. This is the first book written by the former South Carolina Poet Laureate. OCLC (WorldCat) puts the date of this publication in the 1940's however internet sources put the date of printing at 1904 making this the author's first book. The reference book "Southern Writers A Biographical Dictionary" edited by Joseph Flora and others provides a date of 1904 for the printing. Rutledge's Wikipedia page list's the Hearts Quest first under selected works preceding the book "Under the Pines
