Tokyo: Hitachi, 1963. 79pp. Navy boards, gilt titles on spine and front board. Some fading to boards and spine, but titles remain plainly legible. Pages, both text and photo gravures, remain bright and clean. Tri-fold case shows a deep split along front hinge, but front board remains attached, with ivory closures and gilt titles on front board. Laid-in card reads, "With the compliments of Ken'Ichiro Komai, President, Hitachi Ltd. Japan." Scarce Smith title, a photo-essay on Japan's industrialization. Very Good dark-blue rice paper-bound hardcover with crisp stamped gilt titling to front and spine with spots of wear at the extremities, fading to the spine, and light shelf wear; this copy was once part of the Time Inc. editorial library with two stamps to that effect and a discard stamp, all to the title page; no other indications and otherwise the interior is clean and bright; no dj as issued.
