Recommended by Gary Snyder, a book I wish I had read years ago. Labor, work and radicalism in the mines, woods and docks and horses in the Northwest and Idaho. Terrific discriptions of horse grading, logging and long shore work. Text is unmarked. Bottom corners bumped. Top front edge faded. Slight wear top of spine. good examples of white working people talking to each other. The impact of mine deaths on a boy and his life. Lots of mine detail.
