The earliest publicly published attempt to account for Operation JUBILEE, one of the costliest operations of its kind mounted by the Allies in WWII. No photographs are present due to restrictions then still obtaining, but it includes a valuable folding chart showing the naval and military composition of the striking force. Ilustrado em extratexto com fotografia da aproximação das forças navais aliadas na madrugada de 19 de Agosto de 1942, com folhas desdobráveis indicando as trajectórias seguidas pelas forças atacantes através dos campos de minas, com fotografias aéreas nas folhas de guarda e mapas com a constituição das forças aliadas e o balanço das perdas sofridas. Excelente e muito objectivo estudo escrito por um dos participantes neste desembarque em 1942 na costa francesa, ocupada pelos alemães, que apesar de ser um fracasso com pesadas baixas sofridas pelas tropas aliadas participantes, possibilitou o êxito do futuro grande desembarque no dia D, em 1944, através das informações reunidas e da experiência obtida.
