More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Pen inscription to front free endpaper. Moderate cracking to gutters and hinges causing some looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Boards have moderate corner bumping and edge-wear with visible tanning and scuffing overall. Prominent splitting to joints. Spine has moderate tanning with noticeable fraying and crushing to ends. Lettering remains bright and clear. Book has a slight forward lean.

Moderate tanning, with light foxing and marking to pages. Gilt to text block edges. Cracking to hinges, with exposed netting. Foxing to half title page. Boards have moderate shelf wear, with rubbing and marking. Heavy bumping to corners and crushing to spine ends, causing cloth to fray. Book has noticeable forward lean, with tanning overall. Water damage to rear surface.
