Your can tell this is a First Edition, as it was inscribed ("To My beloved wife Christmas 1950") which was the first year this book was published and was now 73 years ago! One the same blank first end page are the signatures of Maria and Franz Wasner. Also on the page is a small card taped in one corner that appears to have handwritten "Away in a manager and many others all suitable as lullabys for an adorable mother and her child" signed "John".
