Description:
Very good copy of the scarce bilingual literary magazine of French surrealists in exile. This copy is inscribed by Goll at his contribution, Atom Elegy, to Boris Pregel. Pregel was Jewish/Ukrainian engineer who was awarded the French Legion of Honour in 1939 for his role in the International Organization to Fight Cancer. Goll was diagnosed with leukemia tin 1945, so this presentation is quite fitting. After Pregel fled the Nazis he established a Radium & Uranium Mining company in NY that supplied the Manhattan Project.Quite a few pages are uncut. The Goll poem and the Yves Tanguy illustrations pages are cut.
