Description:
New York: Macmillan, 1939. First edition. Hardcover. Fair. 1939 hardcover. Minor Ex-Library with a pocket inside the front cover and stamps to the free endpapers. This is an unusual construction - a 'double-tall' copy with the full text "Down Our Street" at the bottom, and the Reader-Manual at the top. There is a full length cloth book ribbon bound in to mark your place in both book sections. Mild damp-staining to the bottom edge and heavy wear at the corners and spine tips. Soiling to the boards and a small goudge at the rear joint. Binding is solid on both the upper and lower texts and all pages are unmarked. Fair condition due to the library pocket and dampstaining, but overall quite good for this title. Color illustrations throughout.
