Chicago: Chapman, 1894. Large (8 1/4" x 10 1/2" page size) with heavy bevelled boards, bound in decorated full leather. The upper board is gilt-stamped with the title and blind-stamped with corner decorations (similarly the lower board); the spine has gilt-stamped lettering and decorations, endpapers are blue and gold with gilt dentelles, all page edges gilt. There is some rubbing along the edges and corners of the boards, the outer joint of the front board is cracked top and bottom, there is light rubbing on portions of the spine and the spine ends are tender and partially chipped away; still a very attractive volume externally; the pages are fine.
