Illustrated with six woodcuts at the headings of tracts. Compilation of noneteen early temperance tracts including Benjamin Rush's "The Effects of Ardent Spirits upon the Human Mind and Body". Each entry is individually paginated. Deaccessioned from an historical society with their stamp on the title page (small abraded hole) and front free endpaper; chop to the foot of the spine and white lettering visible; additional wear to the spine and covers. Interior clean, tight and unmarked. A rather scarce publication.

Little toning, but a good copy.
