The notes, which in the previous editions were place at the end of each play, are now, for the convenience of Shakespearean students, printed at the foot of the page. illustrated with 180 full page photogravures and photo-engravings from real paintings by eminent masters and reproductions of famous impersonations of Shakespearean characters.. Bound in 3/4 brown morocco over marbled paper covered boards,accented in gold with matching endpapers, flat spines lettered and decorated in gilt, a handful of volumes with chipping to heads.
