Description:
London: Gardner, Darton, c 1895. Decorated boards with cloth binding. 288mm x 215mm. Unpaginated. Twelve leaves each separated by lighter weight paper. Each printed page illustrated with strangely attractive colour cartoon-like figures and accompanying verse in a hand-written style. Illustrated endpapers. A bit of an oddity but definitely interesting. Poor. Boards edge-worn and rubbed with some soiling, which is worse to the rear. Text block separated from boards. Stitched binding almost completely separated between the two signatures. Paper toned. Gift inscription dated Xmas 1895 to recto of 'Portrait' of the author page.
