Return of the Jedi is not glossy. Slight wear from reading and use, but no previous owner marks and/or writing. A nice set overall.

Focuses solely on the classic Star Wars territories of Tatooine, Coruscant, Dagobah, Hoth, Endor, Bespin, Yavin 4 and Alderaan. I believe this to be the first book combining the art of the original trilogy into a "universe" format. This led to numerous others of course.

Original price of $29.99 on rear panel. Highly entertaining collection of shorts on the history of Science-Fiction in literature, art, movies, fashion and Fandom. This book offers by William Gibson and Neil Gaiman among others. The entries are a bit all over the place, but I must admit that the authors and editors did a great job at swinging from the enduring creations of Ralph McQuarrie (Star Wars conceptual artist) to the Voynich manuscript. Not everyday you read about how WarGames (Broderick) shaped military policy in real-life or how the E.T. of the 80's that we knew and loved came from the pen of Harrison Ford's girlfriend at the time (although he and Melissa Mathison did share a 20+ year marriage together). As if you couldn't tell, I really like this book.
