Two brown spots on the left side on the front cover. Some dotted stains on the middle on the front cover. Binding showing on the inside of the front and back cover. Columbus, OH: A.R. Harding, 1936. Revised edition. Hardcover. Blue cloth over boards. Binding is tight; interior is clean except for ownership stamp inside front cover. Textblock is age-toned overall. Blue cloth boards are stained, faded, rubbed, and worn. Someone has taken a red marker to the "G" in Ginseng. Corners are bumped. Overall a solid, little copy. Good Housekeeping Institute, 1929. Poor. Binding is in tatters and and some pages have become detached. All pages appear present but the interior shows heavy signs of use (in the form of liquid spills). Remarkably there are no ownership marks of any kind (other than the food). Interesting insight into another era with helpful advice on how to set the table for a Buffet Luncheon (just in case you've forgotten), the importance of school lunches (salmon salad is recommended for high school students), and it even includes a helpful list of kitchen equipment which, mysteriously, includes a monkey wrench. Edges of text and binding show minor shelf wear. DJ shows minor shelf wear overall but, other than one small 1/4" tear at the front bottom, is in excellent condition.
