About This Item
Stockholm: Ahlen & Akerlunds Forlag, 1943. Hardcover. 62p., illustrated with grainy b&w news photography and personal photos by Gunder's handlers. Gunder was an international track competitor, very likeable, a funny guy, see pix of him with Greer Garson, Gary Cooper, Eddie Rickenbacker and many ordinary characters. He competed in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago,, see photos. A poor copy; the text is complete but casing has badly broken hinges and a large unsightly puncture in the middle of the rear cover (adjacent leaves are affected), and the excellent colorized cover portrait is severely rubbed. As is.
