Forestville, CA: Eclipse Comics, 1989. Comic. [48p] 6.5x10.25 inches, newsprint guts, b&w comics, very good first Eclipse edition comic book in stapled pictorial wraps. The Montana artist and forestry worker's 1987 account of events in the Central American country. Originally published in 1987.

"Artifacts in this catalog were discovered in the infamous Dumas Brothel in Butte, Montana. They represent but a few of the many pieces of the lives of the prostitutes, madams, and cleints who lived and worked in America's longest running brothel," (inside cover).

Souvenir program contains numerous action shots of bronco, bull, and trick riding, as well as ads for various products and services (beer, ice cream, and farm equipment). Separately: a four page daily program with a schedule of events for the evening performance on Tuesday, July 3rd, 1951.

Pony, Montana: Western Federation of Miners, 1912. Ephemera. Seven 8x12-inch printed forms with written data, very good condition. The WFM union miners Local 131 of Pony, MT entered monthly figures on its membership, income and expenses, and other information for filing with the WFM. The local suffered high unemployment during this period. Gold mining was prevalent in this area in southwest Montana.

Butte: Allied Printing Trades Council union bug, [190-?]. Sticker. 2.25x1.25 inch label, unused, still crisp. The use of such labels for Butte is attested in the 1890s, but this is most likely an early 20th century version.

Georgetown: Talisman Literary Research, Inc, 1991. 30p., 6.5x9.5 inches, very good first edition chapbook in sewn wraps and cream dj. Posthumous publication (his only book) of a California educator who retired to his birthplace of Butte, MT where he died before this book saw print.Blurbs on the inner flap from Ronald Sharp of Kenton Review, Pulitzer winner Peter Viereck, Judson Jerome, X. J. Kennedy and Howard Nemerov.

Chief Joseph was a biweekly underground paper published in Missoula, Montana and included in each issue of the Spokane Natural starting with Vol. 3 No. 20.

Chicago: The H.M. Gousha Company, 1934. Map. Single folio leaf, 17.5x23 inches, stiffish feel (either 24 or 32 # paperstock), alkaline with just a touch of toning, printed in blue with onlaid routes executed in red ink, folded four times to make the classic "gas station map" of 9x4 inches. Nice tripartite cover illustration using the two colors to advantage, art deco image of car, hills, water, geese. A very good copy; we see one small tear at a foldline intersection, else in very good order: largely sound, entirely clean and unmarked.
