Holy Grail time, Star Wars fans!This copy is my own, held carefully since 1976. This work is the true first edition of George Lucas' Star Wars. Published originally as a Science fiction Book Club choice. The book includes 16 photos of the movie that was to be released at the time of publication of this work (I also saw the first screening of the film in San Francisco, at the Geary Theatre, IIRC) As you can see in the photos, this is the real thing- it has all of the First edition points. Page 183 has s-27 marked on lower left side of page, Book Club Edition on inside of left flap and the number 2403 on back inside flap on bottom right.Hardcover has gray boards with black lettering in spine. Binding tight and text is clean Slight watermark of front board slight give to upper and lower spine margins.DJ has slight chipping upper and lower spine, and minor wear on folds and margins.
