The Unicorn Tapestries

By Freeman, Margaret B.

NY: MMA, 1983. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. Odd discrepancies regarding the isbn(s) are present. The interior number for MMA lacks a 9, the Dutton number brings up a similar title (UT#2), by writer Freemantle. 2 isbns are given here. This book is the 2nd printing of Freemans 1976 original and is offered here to demonstrate the occasional (very rare) fouling up of isbn usage. Book decent but bottom bumped in a way that is echoed in its text. Still, with gatefolds, handsome text all holding up nicely, it is sharp and appealing. Jacket quite worn, front edge through, still, attractive. *We feel that books offered for internet sale should be described thoroughly and accurately. Books listed by Brass Dolphin are so described, and graded, using the strict, traditional standards. For this reason, we have virtually zero returns.*.

Book's first endsheet stamped, small corner clippped, bit of scmutz/wrinkle one corner. Sheet (blank) prior to title page has mild crease. This book seems intended to furnish public domain clip art for republication. From the cover, "4000 pictures of important Americans from earliest times to the beginning of the 20th century." Sturdy, clean and serviceable. *We feel that books offered for internet sale should be described thoroughly and accurately. New Tendencies In Art

By Pellegrini, Aldo

NY: Crown, 1966. Book. Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. Splendid, heavy copy, probably a textbook in it's youth. The black cloth has some odd speckling, perhaps a spray of some kind? Color loss seems the only result. Jacket sound and presentable if scuffed, no tears. Book's text unmarked. *We feel that books offered for internet sale should be described thoroughly and accurately. Sipan

By Alva, Walter

Lima: Cervecceria, 1994. Book. Near Fine. Hardcover. 1st Edition. An unusual and hard to describe item. Text is in Spanish (I do not believe an English language version was done) massive, heavily illustrated, 325 page volume. I have very little Spanish and am using guesswork, (in part) in making this description. Edition may not be correct, but the title's printing seems to have been very small. Book is extraordinarily well-made and lightly used. Perhaps a hint of corner tip fade is present. Given that the book come from Lima and the subjects look Incan to my untutored eye, I assume that the pre-Columbian society or a sub-set of it, of the region is the subject of the multitude of fotografs and the writing. Jacket is handsome but a trifle worn with mild scar/scuff back panel. No ISBN is present. Domestic media mail shipping at our usual one-book price. Too large by far for flat rate standard fast or international shipping. Fast domestic possible, international will be heartbreakingly costly. *We feel that books offered for internet sale should be described thoroughly and accurately. Books listed by Brass Dolphin are so described, and graded, using the strict, traditional standards. For this reason, we have virtually zero returns.*.

Bloomington: Indiana University Press, 1982. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. Full number line, hardcover. Jacket has one short tear, reads nicely, will ship in new mylar wrapper. *We feel that books offered for internet sale should be described thoroughly and accurately. Masterpieces of the Ho-Am Museum of Art

By Not Stated

Korea: Ho-Am Museum, 1982. Book. Fine. Hardcover. 1st Edition. A magnificent book. Text printed on brilliant, heavy stock, gatefolds and tipped in plates are used on occasion. Book seems flawless to me. Jacket (extremely heavy paper) has bindery imperfection back panel (failure of mylar overlay to adhere?) and a good bit sun lightened at spine. The book is slipcased and the slip case has some sunning and the odd tiny scar. While the descriptions and text are rendered in both Korean and English the printing data is not, so I have used guesswork where needed for publisher etc. This book is huge, domestic media mail at our usual one book price, fast or overseas shipping will require surcharge, impossible to ship in standard flat rate envelope. *We feel that books offered for internet sale should be described thoroughly and accurately. Books listed by Brass Dolphin are so described, and graded, using the strict, traditional standards. For this reason, we have virtually zero returns.*.

USSR: The Land and the People-The Art Treasures of the Moscow Kremlin

By Various

Novosti, 1975. Book. Very Good+. Hardcover. Recently we acquired many items from the estate of the late Senator Frank Church and his widow, Bethine. This listing is for 2 hardbacks with jackets, presented to the Church's by Russian admirers. The first book is signed, 1st endsheet, by Ambassador Dobrynin in 1978 and inviting the Senator to visit Russia. It is a photo/poerty essay from the heroic/Brehnev era and shows it. Book is sound if clearly used, jacket quite scuffy, crease wear. 12"x 11 1/2". The other book is inscribed to the Senator's widow (2nd endsheet) by Boris Shumeev. Much nicer jacket. Both sold as a pair at the listed price with one-book priced domestic media mail shipping. The text of the USSR seems to be in Cyrillic with English translation present, other text in English. *We feel that books offered for internet sale should be described thoroughly and accurately. Books listed by Brass Dolphin are so described, and graded, using the strict, traditional standards. For this reason, we have virtually zero returns.*.

Remainder dots top and bottom edges. *We feel that books offered for internet sale should be described thoroughly and accurately. Modernism

By Weston, Richard

London: Phaidon, 1996. Book. Very Good-. Hardcover. Fascinating book, that seems in excellent shape. Oddly it is stamped, first endsheet as "Phaidon non-mint" There is a hint of cover dent to jacket and front board, perhaps this was the problem, though I strongly suspect that it was not minted, ever. . .In any case the boards are straight and clean, unbumped, no cocking, no marking. Mostly white jacket, has lots af scar and mild stain, but still, presentable. Large item 240 pages, 10 x 12", can ship domestic media mail at our usual one -book price. *We feel that books offered for internet sale should be described thoroughly and accurately.
