It is the only remaining relic of Camp 60 that housed several hundred Italian prisoners captured during the North African campaign, one of them was Domenico Chiocchetti, an artist, who did much of the interior decoration. Booklet un7781dated but assumed c1965 as text mentions the return visit of Chiocchetti to Orkney in 1964 with his wife who saw her husband's masterpiece for the first time. .
