William White and Susanna Fuller married in Leyden, Holland in 1612 and were among the passengers of the Mayflower arriving at Cape Cod in 1620. This book documents their descendants over various family lines until 1895. The original preface by Thomas and Samuel White states: The family record herein submitted to the William White posterity by Thomas White and Samuel White embraces not only records of families, but incidents, historical facts, and personal reminiscences which are calculated to show the great part taken in the colonization and building up of our great and prosperous country.

Providence, RI: Narragansett Historical Publishing Company, 1884. First Edition. Cloth. Good +. Rare first edition, 8vo, cxxxvi, 496 pages, with 2 interleaved plates. Brown cloth binding with beveled boards and gold stamping on the spine and front cover. Overall good condition: the textblock spine is split in one place, and one signature and a few pages are loose or detached at the split. The paper is a bit yellowed, but supple. The boards and spine of the cover case are intact and attractive (except for library marking on the spine), but the hinge is broken at the back of the textblock, and weak at the front. A good candidate for repair using the existing case cover, a new mull, new end-papers, and a bit of glue. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Ex-Library.

This genealogy is the digital edition of a 112-page book by Thomas Edward Bartlett, originally published in 1892. It consists of two text files (580 Kb) in doc format and five images (178 Kb) in jpg and gif formats, digitized in 2008 and issued on CD-Rom. The immigrant ancestor of the Bartletts in this genealogy -- John -- appeared first in colonial records in 1666 as a resident of Weymouth, Massachusetts. He moved with his family to Mendon (Worcester County) in 1671, and then to Rehoboth (in a section later incorporated as part of Cumberland, Rhode Island) in 1682. The ancestral line of Thomas in England and the date of his migration to this country, cannot yet be ascertained with full confidence. It appears that he arrived in Salem with a young family not far from 1630, and lodged for a time at Lynn. A section of land was assigned to him, in that part of Plymouth called Duxbury, July 3, 1637. This section of land, being for-feited by his removal to Sandwich in the same year. Of his five children, only his daughter Elizabeth (who m. Ezra Perry) and his son Jacob remained in Sandwich.
