New York: Arno Press, nd. Octavo (9.25 x 6.25), 315 pages + unnumbered interleaved photo pages, addenda, and index. Red cloth binding with gold stamping. As new condition. A curious first-name index lists White descendants in chronological order. William White and Susanna Fuller married in Leyden, Holland in 1612 and were among the passengers of the Mayflower arriving at Cape Cod in 1620. This book documents their descendants over various family lines until 1895. The original preface by Thomas and Samuel White states: The family record herein submitted to the William White posterity by Thomas White and Samuel White embraces not only records of families, but incidents, historical facts, and personal reminiscences which are calculated to show the great part taken in the colonization and building up of our great and prosperous country. This is a relatively recent reproduction of a genealogy originally published in 1895.

It consists of one text file (430 Kb) in doc format, two image files (134 Kb) in jpg format, and seven image files (717 Kb) in gif format, digitized in 2008 and issued on CD-ROM. Supplementing the account of Rawson's life and ancestry: images of his portrait and his family amorial; the wills of his father and grandfather, and charts of the Rawson and Stanhope pedigrees. Edward Rawson, with his young wife, left Old England for America, arriving at Newbury in (it is thought) 1637. In 1638, when just twenty-three years of age, he was chosen Public Notary and Registrar for Newbury, and was re-elected to that post annually until 1647. As early as 1638, he was elected to represent the town at the General Court, in which office he served in almost every successive year until 1650, when he was elevated to the post of Secretary of the Massachusetts Bay Colony, an office he held for thirty-six years.…

Providence, RI: Narragansett Historical Publishing Company, 1884. First Edition. Cloth. Good +. Rare first edition, 8vo, cxxxvi, 496 pages, with 2 interleaved plates. Brown cloth binding with beveled boards and gold stamping on the spine and front cover. Overall good condition: the textblock spine is split in one place, and one signature and a few pages are loose or detached at the split. The paper is a bit yellowed, but supple. The boards and spine of the cover case are intact and attractive (except for library marking on the spine), but the hinge is broken at the back of the textblock, and weak at the front. Description:
This genealogy is the digital edition of a 112-page book by Thomas Edward Bartlett, originally published in 1892. It consists of two text files (580 Kb) in doc format and five images (178 Kb) in jpg and gif formats, digitized in 2008 and issued on CD-Rom. The immigrant ancestor of the Bartletts in this genealogy -- John -- appeared first in colonial records in 1666 as a resident of Weymouth, Massachusetts. He moved with his family to Mendon (Worcester County) in 1671, and then to Rehoboth (in a section later incorporated as part of Cumberland, Rhode Island) in 1682. John died in 1684; his widow, in 1685. Though it encompasses eight generations of Bartletts -- John and some of his descendants -- the work is by no means comprehensive. "The intention of the compiler," said the compiler, "has been simply, by patient research and labor, to preserve . . . an accurate transcript of existing data, gathered from numerous reliable sources." Accordingly, "Some of the problems connected with the history of…

Description:
This genealogy is the digital edition of a 1118-page book by John McGill, originally published in 1956. It consists of two text files (9.3 Mb) in doc format and twelve high-resolution image files (4.8 Mb) in jpg format, digitized in 2008 and issued on CD-Rom. Robert Beverley, subsequently known as "Major Beverley," came to Virginia in 1663. He settled in Middlesex County about twenty miles from Jamestown and soon became prominent in the colony. Said the editors of this genealogy (published after the death of its author): "It should be … an incentive to worthy achievement to know that one's ancestor in the person of Robert Beverley, the immigrant, won by his courage and leadership the unstinted praise of Governor Berkeley in the Bacon Rebellion in Virginia in 1676 and that later as Clerk of the House of Burgesses, in steadfast loyalty to that body he refused to surrender its records to the King's Commissioners. He thus incurred their disfavor and was by an edict of the King deprived of his offices."…

This genealogy is the digital edition of a 196-page book by E. Burgess, originally published in 1865. It consists of two text files (1.7 Mb) in doc format and seven image files (283 Mb) in jpg format, digitized in 2009 and issued on CD-Rom. The ancestral line of Thomas in England and the date of his migration to this country, cannot yet be ascertained with full confidence. It appears that he arrived in Salem with a young family not far from 1630, and lodged for a time at Lynn. A section of land was assigned to him, in that part of Plymouth called Duxbury, July 3, 1637. This section of land, being for-feited by his removal to Sandwich in the same year. Of his five children, only his daughter Elizabeth (who m. Ezra Perry) and his son Jacob remained in Sandwich. Thomas removed to Newport, Rhode Island; John, to Yarmouth; Joseph to Rochester. As of 1865, the descendants, numbering in the thousands, were dispersed from Maine to California. They are chiefly devoted to agriculture, but many navigated the…
