[19.2 cm.] Ex-Sondley Reference Library with tasteful bookplate on front pastedown, embossed stamp on frontispiece, title page, and two other leaves; small number stamp on verso of title and in margin of one other page. No external markings, but faint evidence of call number removal at base of spine. Else a good copy. Shallow chip to head of spine; light wear extremities; cloth split along hinges, both of which remain sound; some fading and spotting to cloth; upper quarter of front free endpaper missing; scattered foxing. FIRST EDITION. A history of the Moravian church from its establishment, including much on Pennsylvania. There is a very brief discussion of Spangenberg's travels in North Carolina.
