Vampyres of Hollywood

By Barbeau, Adrienne; Scott, Michael

New York: Thomas Dunne Books, St Martin's Press, 2008. You may remember Adrienne Barbeau as "Maude's" daughter, or, in keeping with the horror theme, as a star in the original "The Fog" and as the former wife of the horror-meister himself, John Carpenter. But here, Adrienne strikes out on her own as a talented, sexy, funny, but gory-inclined author of a Hollywood novel in which famous A-listers are being knocked off by one of the undead (who, like any other Hollywood celebrity, mortal or immortal, doesn't look her age.) This book is a stated First Edition and includes a complete number line ending in a "1" to indicate First Printing. Both the book and dust jacket are in New, unread condition. I've placed the dust jacket into a Brodart protective sleeve. The book is bound in black boards with die-stamped gilt spine titles. The book measures 6 1/2 by 9 1/2 inches and includes 325 pages.. I've placed this rare dust jacket into an archival Brodart protective sleeve. In this, the sixth Sookie Stackhouse Southern Vampire series novel, Sookie must deal with the aftermath of her first cousin Hadley's second death (having died once before to become a vampire and who is now "definitely dead."). In addition, there are problems with Bill, her attraction for the wereleopard Quinn, her trouble with some werewolves, and her friendship with the witch Amelia, who has unwittingly turned her friend Bob into a cat. All in all, a typical Sookie Stackhouse day! The book measures 5 1/2 by 8 1/4 inches and includs 324 pages.. Stated First Edition. Hard Cover. Fine/Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
