Leather. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. 685p., 617pp. Practical Reflections and a Prayer added at the end of each chapter of The Following of Christ. Bound in original black leather, with clear and bright gilt lettering to spine. All edges red, with marker-ribbon. Frontispiece of Jesus Christ on the Cross. One leaf between the Bible and the Following of Christ that has maps on it. Some general light wear to leather, with some heavier, though not offensive, wear to head of spine. An approximately 2"x1" white stain (looks like white-out) to front cover, as well was a few other tiny white stains to covers and some whitening to small parts of edges of pages. Several small chips to extremities of free endpapers and printer's blanks. The text block is square and the interior is clean. Binding sound. Mark-ribbon a little worn, but remains perfectly functional. Overall, a good, clean, sound, user friendly copy. This edition scarce.

Measures approximately 11.75" x 10" x 4". Bound in full red leather, with gilt lettering to spine and personalized message in gilt stamped to front cover ("In Memory of Daniel Meade 1961"). Six compartments to spine. All edges gilt. With marker-ribbons. Gilt lettering remains clear and bright. Leather admits to light to medium wear in places, plus several small chips and tears to extremities of covers and spine. Light soiling to exterior. Some fading to gilt edges of pages, with a mild stain to bottom edges. Minor, unobtrusive ink and pencil marks, as well as a few small highlighter marks, to a small number of pages. Light soiling and a little spotting to endpapers. Two tiny closed tears to bottom of front printer's blank. Binding slightly shaken, but generally firm. Light wear to marker-ribbons. Overall, remains a good, sound, and certainly user friendly and fairly attractive copy
