Bound in full leather, with gilt lettering to spine and gilt decorations to front and back covers. Gilt lettering stamped to lower front cover: "Most Reverend Philip J. Furlong, D.D. - Sodality of St. Thomas More Church". Faux raisded bands to spine. Beautiful green linen like endpapers, with lovely gilt decoration to inside border of front and back covers. Text printed in red and black, with lovely red and black decorations to text. Folio. Text is clean and binding sound. Covers are green, though the spine has turned brown over the years. Some blacking and some small divots to spine. Light wear hear and there to leather. Light wear and a touch of soiling to marker-ribbons. Original protective slipcase is present and sound, but admitting to some staining and soiling. Has served well in protecting boards and edges.

All edges gilt. Lovely, albeit lightly worn, dark green, linen like endpapers. Beautiful gilt decoration to boundaries to inside front and back covers. Text printed in red and black. Volume a little cocked. Several small bumps to extremities. Some faint spotting to spine. Darkening in a few places at extremities. Still an attractive and a unique copy.

Bound in original black leather, with clear and bright gilt lettering to spine. All edges red, with marker-ribbon. Frontispiece of Jesus Christ on the Cross. One leaf between the Bible and the Following of Christ that has maps on it. Some general light wear to leather, with some heavier, though not offensive, wear to head of spine. An approximately 2"x1" white stain (looks like white-out) to front cover, as well was a few other tiny white stains to covers and some whitening to small parts of edges of pages. Several small chips to extremities of free endpapers and printer's blanks. The text block is square and the interior is clean. Binding sound. Mark-ribbon a little worn, but remains perfectly functional. Overall, a good, clean, sound, user friendly copy. This edition scarce.
