Collects Baynton's stories, her novel, 'Human Toll', which is reprinted here for the first time, and also includes chapters on her verse and letters. 344 pages, 4-7/8" X 7-1/2". The dust jacket is intact and is not price clipped. Jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. Bright blue cloth covered boards, with the title and author in white on the spine. Cover boards are flat, the corners are not bumped or worn, a few dots of shelf wear at the heel of the spine. There is a smudge mark on the bottom edge of the text block - see photos. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. Binding is tight and square. This is not a library discard copy. Photos attached are of the copy in our inventory. Filled with details of life in the Australian plains. 235 pages, 5-7/8" X 8-1/4". Brown cloth covered cove boards, with a design of a calf on the front cover board and the title in dark brown on the spine. Dust jacket is intact and is not price clipped, it does show several chips and short tears at the edges, the largest being one at the head of the spine about 1/2" X 1/2". Brief inscription on the top portion of the first flyleaf page, dated 1948, and also a name and address of a former owner on the following page too - about 3" X 1-1/4".
