When did you get started in bookselling?

In 1994, I became a clerk at a small town used bookstore in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Over the years, as I worked at that store, I began buying books that interested me, books from that small bookstore, books from other used bookstores, and books from retail bookstores. Eventually I amassed (yes...I guess you would say that I reached a critical mass) many books, more than I probably will ever have the chance to read. Then, I started selling books online. :)

What is your favorite part of being a bookseller?

When I first worked as a clerk at that used bookstore, my favorite part was helping customers find books that they wanted to read. Now, as an online bookseller, my favorite part is helping readers meet again old friends, books they remember reading or books they have always wanted to get around to reading. :)
