Signed by Arthur Rackham. Beautiful tipped-in color plates on heavy paper. Worn/discolored vellum spine, marks and smudges on cover, worn cover edges and corners. Pages are clean and unmarked and binding is tight. "This is the story of the Knight Huldbrand of Ringstetten and of Undine, telling how the Knight wedded with a water-sprite, and what chanced therefrom: and how the Knight died and was buried: and how Undine returned to her element beneath the Mediterranean Sea."

Of books 1-20: contenant une double suite des planches, sur papier imperial du japon et sur papier de chine. This book being numbered 7. An additional 500 were printed in Hollande paper after this edition. Excellent steel plate engravings largely composing of portraiture but also many beautiful artworks from this exposition. A stunning work in very good + condition with some light foxing present, scuffs to linen cloths, slight wear to hinges and corners and slight rippling of pages.
