"Acta Apostolicae Sedis" is the official gazette of the Holy See, appearing twelve times a year. It was established by Pope Pius X in 1908. Complete set for the year 1929 contains among others documents the text of the Lateran Treaty between the Kingdom of Italy and the Holy See. This agreement recognized Vatican City as an independent state under the sovereignty of the Holy See (included a plan of the territory of the Vatican and plans of the buildings with extraterritorial privilege).

The fourth edition of Theodore Besterman's "A World Bibliography of Bibliographies" was published in 1965-66. It's a monumental edition which contains 6664 columns. Rowman and Littlefield in 18 separate publications gathered all the titles in some of the major fields. Volumes on periodical publications, almanacs, directories and journalism include approximately 2,500 entries.
