Provenance: From the library of Sir George Taylor: former director of Kew, keeper of botany, British Museum, plant collector and botanist. Taylor's library was denoted to the National Library of Scotland, who on receiving his books marked them with a code number and small stamp - this one Tay 173; subsequently when the library realised that they already had a copies, de-accessioned them and sold them off!.
