From New York Christian Steinman brought his family to Wilmot, Upper Canada (Ontario). Most of the Steiman descendants now live in Ontario, Canada. Some family members live in Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, and elsewhere. Christian and his family adhered to the Amish Mennonite faith and located in Amish communities.
