Description:
Arcturus, 2013. 1st Edition Printing Unknown. Hardcover. As New/No Jacket Issued. Color illustrations - no credit given. CONDITION: UNREAD, but not perfect, 2013 Arcturus large hardcover (basically a shaped board book), first edition, I believe, no printing given. Problem: there are 2 "glasses" for seeing hidden ansers - one is a "spyglass" (which is fine) and the other is a pair of "glasses" which seem to have been scratched during publication process - the red glasses material is untouched but the rim of the glasses has 2 spots of color loss. Not sure what has caused this. Tightly sealed. [See scan.] The book is clean and tight. CONTENT: This is an exciting and colorful math book for children ages 6 and up. It includes a spy glass that magically reveals the answers to every times table up to 12. This interactive element makes the often dull and difficult task of learning times tables into something wonderfully fun and enjoyable. Reviewer: "Great fun… Read More

Description:
Houghton Mifflin, 2004. 1st Edition 11th Printing. Soft cover. New/No Jacket Issued. Don Brown color illustrations. CONDITION: NEW 2004 Houghton Mifflin large paperback, first paperback edition, 11th printing. A note about the color: the true book is a light tan with Maroon lettering. For some reason the front cover seems to scan out as light maroon. Very odd. Truer color on the back cover panel. CONTENT: When he was born in 1879, Albert was a peculiarly fat baby with an unusually big and misshaped head. When he was older, he hit his sister, frustrated his teachers, and had few friends. But Albert's strange childhood also included his brilliant capacity for puzzles and problem solving: the mystery of a compass's swirling needle, the intricacies of Mozart's music, the secrets of geometry-set his mind spinning with ideas. In fact, Albert Einstein's ideas were destined to change the way we know and understand the world and our place in the universe. In spare, precise text filled with graceful detail and… Read More
