Lovely, solidly near fine copy in acetate jacket. illustrated with facsimiles, tipped in color frontispiece. (Folio) One of 450 copies designed and printed by Lawton Kennedy. First Edition with a leaf from the 1561 edition bound in (form the Squires Tale) . This copy also comes with the publication, "Two Chaucer Leaves" (Tamalpais Press 1965) laid in. This presents two additional original leaves; one from an undated edition (ca. 1551) and the other from the 1561 edition. Both are leaves from the Parson's Tale. Prospectus for the book also laid in. A tidy package with three leaves. The book itself (64pp) provides a very interesting publishing history and is worthwhile in its own right (not always true of these leaf books).
