Dustjacket was cut down by the original owner, and laid in is the front cover illustrations and the verbage on the front and rear flaps. Laid in at the rear of the book is a newspaper biography of the author (1868-1934) by Carl Van Doran. The article is foxed, and caused acidic offsetting to the rear free endpaper and the rear pastedown. Uncommon title. Front hinge was carefully repaired. 306pp.
