The cordial reception of Ivor Browns first annual review of the British stage 'Theatre 1954 - 5 ', encouraged his determination to continue with the series , the purpose being giving anyone with a love of theatre a book of reference reflecting the senior critics of the time. The book has some wonderful stage photos of the actors of the day 'in situ '. Each year there is a special review of the work done in a foreign country and in this book it is the work of the French Theatre. There is a previous owners inscription to inner first page otherwise the book is in excellent condition.
