The script, with the annotation of Humberstone's nickname "Lucky," on the top of the front wrapper in manuscript blue pencil, has modest annotations throughout, noting page numbers, scene numbers, and calling out and striking dialogue. The production materials, housed in a folder with the annotation in manuscript pencil, in Humberstone's hand, of "Working / sheets on / Whoopie / #4500 / T. Freeland / Eddie Cantor" on the front cover, include a two page "Shooting Schedule" written in Humberstone's hand, a two page "Musical Program" with annotations, in manuscript pencil, of "Lucky" on the top left and dates and times, one interoffice memo, and six telegrams. The interoffice memo, from Samuel Goldwyn to "Lucky Humberstone," is in gratitude to everyone who worked on the film following the film's successful Eastern preview in New York, dated August 19, 1930. The six telegrams, one dated August 18, 1930, and the other five dated August 19, 1930, are from various Samuel Goldwyn and United Artists representatives in praise of the film.
