New York: Something Else, 1968. First Edition. Hardcover. First Edition. An early artist's book by Swiss avant-garde artist Dieter Roth, here writing under his playful and oft-used pseudonym Diter Rot.

Roth was best known for his works made of found materials, often incorporating rotting food. Although Roth deliberately refrained from directly identifying with any particular artistic movements, he collaborated with several Fluxus, pop art, and Arte Povera contemporaries throughout his career, including Emmett Williams, Richard Hamilton, and Hermann Nitsch, and contributed to Fluxus publications V TRe and An Anthology. Roth would work in a variety of mediums over nearly five decades, including sculpture, poetry, painting, sound recordings, jewelry and furniture designs, prints and posters, and-as seen here-artist's books.

Very Good plus in a Very Good plus dust jacket. Slightly cocked, with lightly rubbed board edges. Jacket lightly rubbed at the corners and flap folds.
