The first known dramatic production of Nobel Prize-winning Norwegian writer Knut Hamsun's 1892 novel "Mysterier," premiering at Oslo's National Theater in the summer of 1976. Whether the stage adaptation was done by Hamsun or another unnamed party is not clear. The novel was adapted a few years later into a Dutch film called "Mysteries" in 1978, starring Sylvia Kristel and Rutger Hauer.
