Publisher's stapled wrappers, octavo, pp. 40. Front panel illustration of star Ethel Merman by Peter Arno, New Yorker Magazine's influential cartoonist. Includes many period advertisements and bygone polite theatre requests such as "Ladies are requested to remove their hats." As collectors and scholars of the era are aware, the cheaper quality paper used for this item is a bit toned and brittle and should be handled carefully (we have provided a clear archival display sleeve with white card-stock backing board for storage). Indeed, the upper tips of the first two leaves have chipped away over the decades (no loss of text) and the front and rear wrappers are separating upwards from the foot of the spine. A pleasant divertissement notwithstanding.

My Maryland!"; "My Old Kentucky Home"; "Star-Spangled Banner"; among others. Lyrics only for "Dixie." Contemporary ads. POOR condition. Cheap paper is heavily toned and crumbling, almost at the touch. Heavy edge wear and chipping. Ensconced now by us in a protective new Ultra-Pro sleeve.

Hardcover, octavo, pp. ix, 213. Frontis of Gozzi and other black and white illustrations. Very Good in the publisher's maroon cloth with white spine and upper board lettering. Dust jacket was not issued with this title.

12mo, pp. 16. Short catalogue featuring many works arranged by T. H. Rollinson that were available for purchase at select houses, including Oliver Ditson (Boston); Chas. A Ditson (New York); and Lyon & Healy (Chicago). Fair condition only, with moderate wear and soiling that is more obvious than if publisher had chosen a darker color than white. Ensconced now by us in a new clear protective display sleeve with white cardstock backing board.

Small Portland, Maine, concert programme announcement broadside, measures 11 x 5 inches. About Very Good with some light old creasing and neat folds. Secured now in shrink wrap against a white backing board. Uncommon in trade or in institutional holdings, with no copies located in a 2020 OCLC search.

First edition, so stated, small quarto, pp. xv, 250 plus credits. Richly illustrated. Very Good in the publisher's gilt-stamped textured red cloth over black paper boards. Color illustrated dust jacket Very Good.

Hardcover, octavo, pp. 109. Inscribed by the author to previous owner on the title page. Author has put an extraordinary amount of thought into composing poems wherein he writes cleverly in the first-person voices of 39 different classical composers of 10 nationalities, covering everyone from Puccini to Gershwin. The book is in Good condition in the publisher's textured maroon cloth with spine and upper panel lettering gilt. Gilt has largely faded with the decades. Foxing on top edge. Internally clean and unmarked. Dust wrapper is Fair-only, with a section of paper loss on bottom edge of front panel (see photo 2). Jacket now protected from further wear by a sheet of mylar.
